Located
in Central Dalmatia, in its southern end, Brela are
an excelent starting point for numerous excursions.
BIOKOVO MOUNTAIN

You
can go part way up the mountain by minibus and then
take a short hike to Sveti Jure peak or take a 5 hour
hike through black pine forests and fields of chamois
and sheep. Biokovo
Mountain, rising behind Drašnice, offers wonderful
hiking opportunities. The highest peak at 1762m (two
homs). Take plenty of water. Another popular destination
is the Botanical Garden by Makarska near the village
of Kotišina which can be reached by a marked trail
from Makar that passes under a series of towering
peaks.
SPLIT

The
biggest town in Dalmatia, second biggest after capitol
Zagreb. It is famous of its Roman palace built by
emperor Diocletian in the end of 3rd Century.
TROGIR

The
small town and harbor at the end of the Kaštelanski
bay, 27 kilometres from Split. It lies on the small
island between the island of Ciovo and land (draw
bridge). Two millennia of stormy history have been
written on this small islet straddling the isthmus
between the gentle hills and ertile plain on the mainland
and the coast of the island Ciovo. Half day or all
day excursions.
ISLAND OF HVAR

Lies
15 nautical miles from Brela. The town of Hvar, the
biggest settlement on the island, abounds in Romanesque
and Renaissance buildings, and Mediterranean atmosphere.
It bears the name of Croatian Madeira. The town of
Jelsa, the second biggest on the island, is famous
for its vintage Dalmatian wines. All day excursions.
ISLAND OF BRAČ

Lies
3 nautical miles across from Drašnice.
Brač, island of stone, sunshine and sea. As you step
on the island, its many beauties, clear sea, kilometres
long beaches along the pinewood and places for peace
and fun will be yours. Small and beautiful towns:
Supetar, Bol, Postira, Milna... All day excursions.
IMOTSKI

Mediaeval
Town located in the hinterland of Makarska (Mt. Biokovo),
near a rich karst field (Imotsko polje) with well
kept vineyards. Famous for its blue and red lakes.
It offers a completely different atmosphere from that
of the coast. Half-day excursions by bus.
DUBROVNIK

A
Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque town -
all in one. Located on the very southern end of Croatia.
All-day excursions by bus or boat.
MEĐUGORJE

A
world famous sanctuary situated about 75Km northeast
from Brela.
OMIŠ

A
coastal, mediaeval town located in a picturesque canyon
of the Cetina river only 18 km from Brela. Five kilometers
up to the Cetina canyon, there is "Radmanove Mlinice",
an excursion place for famous for bread baked under
coals and for fresh trout.
The Cetina river is a great place for those who like
active holidays. Many great possibilities for rafting.
